Another Town

Watch the leaves come falling down
Still waiting for the sunlight
Gray skies pass to haunt this town
Some culled from what you know

Homeless hearts to pack away
Too cold to sleep on benches
There has to be a place to stay
But still it doesn't show
Still it doesn't show

Reds and browns of dried up towns
No places we should settle
Watch our lives turned upside down
As they sweep up all the pedals

Meddled with the thoughts I've had
Of how we get to feel so bad
Another town, another town gone mad

Feel the cancer come inside
While all the trees lie baron
As every dream goes rushing by
We hold on for dear life

In landscapes we still know so well
To come around in April
Along with all the fears we've quelled
We'll throw away our strife
Throw away our strife

Reds and browns of dried up towns
No places we should settle
Watch our lives turned upside down
As they sweep up all the pedals

Meddled with the thoughts I've had
But all in all it ain't so bad
Another town, another town gone mad

Rising up without a sound
In gaping skies made so profound
They're falling down but we've been here before

Run away or stay in place
These problems that we'll have to face
Get off the ground and make this story yours

Homeless hearts to pack away
Too cold to sleep on pavement
Some cardboard cut outs made to stay
But still it doesn't show
Still it doesn't show
