Doesn't Matter

When did this dust seem to flutter within?
Where the thinking slowly ends is where the hatred begins
Intolerant oceans travelled few miles away
In spaces from the dark our souls lie here awake

Bleeding from the heart with these sickening sounds
Just dress it up quickly and don't turn around
Disassemble your mind and you'll see what's unseen
It's more like a nightmare than a casual dream

When did it become so terrible to say?
You wanna love yourself, but the cancer always swells like there's so much else to say

But it's okay, no it doesn't matter
Watch your soul take off as the darkness scatters
It doesn't really matter in the end

Searching for purpose, you'll drift in the sea
You can wait here for something, but it's all make believe
Still no one can tell you where the lightning will strike
It's like looking for diamonds in some wavering light

Words lead to phrases that will form to a noose
But it's never perceived as a form of abuse
It's crude and perverted, but we've all let it slide
If we're talking in circles we'll watch these symbols collide

When did it become so terrible to say?
You wanna love yourself, but the cancer always swells like there's so much else to say

But it's okay, no it doesn't matter
Watch your soul take off as the darkness scatters
It doesn't really matter in the end

Look at your face as it stares from the mirror
Watch as the hard lines seem to disappear
